Hyannis, Cape Cod: beach, harbor, ferries
Our two Hyannis cottages, Coral Coast and Blue Tide, sit next door to each other in the village of Hyannis (Town of Barnstable). Book them together as The Twin Cottages. Here’s what’s near you.
The beach
From either cottage, it’s a 0.2-mile walk to the sand. Leave the car parked and save yourself the beach-lot hunt.
- Keyes Memorial Beach: listed with a picnic area, bathhouse, beach volleyball, an outdoor shower and a parking lot, plus a beach wheelchair.†
- Kalmus Beach: a few minutes away, popular for windsurfing, with views of Nantucket Sound.†
Island day trips
The Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket ferries leave from Hyannis, less than a mile from the cottages. Easy day trip, no long drive to the dock.
Harbor & Main Street
- Hyannis Harbor: stroll the waterfront and grab seafood at The Black Cat Tavern or Spanky’s Clam Shack.†
- Main Street Hyannis: shops, galleries and restaurants.
- Cape Cod Creamery: local ice cream.†
